In 2019, the Hina Gana Foundation embarked on a heartfelt mission to uplift vulnerable children by visiting local orphanages. Through this initiative, they distributed food, care packages, and essential supplies, bringing smiles and hope to countless children in need.
2020: Combating COVID-19 Challenges
Amid the global COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the Hina Gana Foundation sprang into action to protect marginalized communities. They distributed safety supplies (including masks and sanitizers), provided meals to street populations, and conducted awareness campaigns to educate the public on virus prevention and safety protocols.
2021: Supporting Displaced Communities
The foundation expanded its reach in 2021 with a mass outreach program at an internally displaced persons (IDP) camp. They delivered critical aid to displaced families, prioritizing mothers, children, fathers, and the elderly with food, healthcare resources, and psychosocial support.
2022: Launching the Birth a Child Program
A milestone year for the Hina Gana Foundation, 2022 marked the launch of their inaugural Birth a Child Program in Kuje, Abuja. This initiative empowered 100 expectant mothers with prenatal education, nutritional support, and birthing kits, equipping them with the tools and knowledge for safe childbirth and infant care. The program’s success laid the groundwork for future editions.
2023: Expanding Impact with Birth a Child 2.0
Building on the triumph of its predecessor, the 2023 Birth a Child 2nd Edition broadened its scope to serve 200 beneficiaries, including pregnant women and widows. By integrating lessons from the first edition, the foundation enhanced its support system, offering tailored resources to address the unique needs of both groups and fostering a stronger, more inclusive community network.
2024: Empowering Widows Through Targeted Support
In 2024, the Hina Gana Foundation introduced a dedicated initiative to uplift and empower widows. Through this program, the foundation provided essential resources, care packages, and meaningful gifts designed to address their unique challenges and improve their quality of life. This initiative underscored the foundation’s commitment to fostering resilience and dignity among vulnerable women in the community.
